Golden Springs Elementary School kicked off its Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program with a special breakfast and launch event that brought together students, families, staff, and community leaders for a morning filled with school spirit and celebration.
Principal Tedesco welcomed everyone to Golden Springs and helped set the tone for a new school year centered on positive behavior, connection, and student success. Parents, staff, and students enjoyed breakfast and had a chance to come together as a school community while celebrating the launch of Golden Springs’ PBIS 2026-27 program.
The celebration also marked a meaningful moment in the school’s history as the Golden Springs community welcomed students and families following the closure of Armstrong Elementary School at the beginning of the school year. One of the morning’s most memorable moments was the introduction of the Golden Springs Cougar mascot, who received a warm embrace from the Armstrong Eagle mascot — a symbolic gesture of bringing two school communities together as one.
The event was also joined by Diamond Bar Mayor Steve Tye, PUSD administrators, and the Golden Springs PBIS team, who showed their support for the school and its students.
Adding even more excitement to the morning, the Diamond Ranch High School Cheer Team, Flag Team, and Band performed for the elementary students and helped welcome everyone to the celebration. Their energy and school spirit had students cheering and made the morning even more memorable.
A special thank you goes to everyone who came out to support Golden Springs Elementary and help launch PBIS in such a fun and positive way.
