Mission and Vision

Golden Springs School Counselor Believes:

  • All students have a right to a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • The School Counseling program serves a central role in meeting students' developmental needs through interventions in academic, social/emotional, and career domains.
  • Students’ needs can be best met through a data-driven comprehensive school counseling program in collaboration with all stakeholders.
  • A comprehensive School Counseling Program is tailored to meet students' educational and developmental needs as identified through needs assessments that have been translated into attainable goals. 
  • The American School Counselor Association ethical standards should guide the work of the School Counseling Program and School Counselor.
  • All students will achieve academic success, fulfill post-secondary goals, achieve college and career preparedness, sustain personal growth, and contribute to a 21st century society.


School Counseling Program Vision

 

The vision of Golden Springs Elementary School Counseling program is that ALL students will achieve academic success, fulfill post-secondary goals, achieve college and career preparedness, sustain personal growth, and contribute to a 21st century society. The School Counseling program promotes a positive environment in which our students are culturally competent in a diverse society and reach their fullest academic potential by successfully managing their lives as healthy, responsible, empathetic citizens who respect themselves and others.

 

  School Counseling Program Mission 

The mission of Golden Springs Elementary School Counseling Program is to provide an equitable data-driven comprehensive school counseling program that is accessible to all students. Our program is guided by a Multi-Tier Multi-Domain System of Support model that is inclusive of: in-class curriculum, school-wide activities, small-groups, and individual counseling. Through collaboration and consultation with parents/guardians, staff, stakeholders, and community members we are able to ensure a safe and supportive environment that fosters academic, social/emotional and college and career success. Our mission is to advocate for and inspire ALL students to develop their full individual potential to become life-long learners in our diverse and changing world by mastering the ASCA mindset and behavior standards.
