Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Families:

As the new principal of Golden Springs Elementary School it is with great excitement and truly an honor to become a member of this great school and community.  I look forward to working collaboratively with parents and staff to provide the best educational experiences and programs for students.  My career serving the Pomona Unified School District spans over two decades. I’ve served as an elementary teacher in grades K-3, a teacher specialist and academic coach supporting elementary and secondary teachers with instruction and leveraging technology in their classrooms.  As the assistant principal at Emerson Middle School and Diamond Ranch High School, I’ve had the opportunity to work with teachers and staff to support students working towards their college and career goals. I have a bachelor's in behavioral science from Cal Poly Pomona, a master's in education from Claremont Graduate School and a doctorate in education from Cal Poly Pomona.

I have found that partnerships between staff, parents, students and community partners allow for the best educational learning opportunities.  All stakeholders have an important role to encourage our children to become active learners and collaborative partners within their learning environments. It is my sincerest desire to provide students with enhanced opportunities that will prepare them with the skills for a rapidly changing society.  I look forward to meeting you and working together to have a great school year!
